I've watched millions pour into education while our kids keep falling behind, Michigan still ranks in the bottom half of the country. Children struggle to read, too many graduates lack a real path forward, and our teachers are burned out from doing more with less. We can do much better.
Invest in Michigan’s Kids
In the Senate, I will:
Secure funding for early reading programs, free breakfast and lunch, after‑school initiatives, and reliable public transportation. That’s the floor, not the ceiling.
Continue pursuit of the objectives detailed in the Invest in MI Kids ballot initiative — $1.7 billion for education, paid by taxing Michigan’s wealthiest, not working families. School infrastructure in our district needs to be a priority of not just our campaign, but for every elected official representing Detroit.
